Nacha Li
Nacha Li (she/they) is a documentary filmmaker from Chengdu, based in New York, whose work explores personal narratives that build worlds not yet existed. Nacha was a Semi-Finalist for the 2026 New Voices Filmmaker Grant. Their most recent short doc, Taste of Home, follows her ballroom father who taught her to vogue after sexual harassment at work silenced her dancing.
Nacha did a BA in Bengali Language and Literature, and holds an MA in News and Documentary from NYU. She is fluent in Sichuan dialect, Mandarin, English, German and Bengali. When not with films, she dances.
